Terms of Service — IASA Telehealth

I Am Still Alive ("IASA", "we") — Telehealth module. Last updated: July 2026 (draft).

The authoritative version of this document is the English text.

1. What IASA Telehealth is

IASA Telehealth is a support platform for cancer patients ("Cancer Warriors"), their caregivers, and the professionals who help them. It offers: (a) clinical telehealth visits delivered by licensed clinicians matched to your location; (b) non-clinical services — health consulting, education, genetics education, exercise & nutrition guidance, peer support, and group sessions; (c) care tools — secure messaging, care plans, symptom monitoring, medication journals, video messages, and a personal health and clinical profile you control.

Education and navigation services are not medical care. Non-clinical content and sessions are educational and supportive; nothing outside a clinical visit with a licensed clinician diagnoses or treats any condition. In an emergency, call your local emergency number (911 in the US, 112 in India) — the platform is never an emergency service.

2. Accounts and roles

Accounts belong to one of a few roles: patients/Cancer Warriors, caregivers (linked by the patient and revocable by the patient at any time), clinicians (admitted only after professional verification of identity and licences — "Flow A"), moderators/staff, and business practices operating on the shared infrastructure. You are responsible for your login and for the accuracy of what you submit. Clinicians must keep licences current; bookable clinical services are limited to jurisdictions where a verified, unexpired licence is held.

3. Consent framework

Care on IASA is consent-first. A versioned telehealth informed consent is accepted before a session is requested, and a consent registry (your Privacy & consents page) covers additional, separately-consented capabilities: session recording, AI assistance & data use, research participation, and the emergency-care disclaimer. Withdrawal is available at any time and never affects your right to care. Publishing a new version of a consent document requires fresh consent by construction.

4. Payments and commission

Some service lines carry a published fee; free services stay free. Payments are processed by Stripe — IASA does not store card numbers. Where a session is delivered by a clinician or business practice on our infrastructure, IASA retains a platform commission from the session fee; the rate is set by rate card and recorded in an append-only revenue ledger. Refund handling follows the session lifecycle (a refunded session is compensated in the same ledger).

5. Recordings

One-to-one session recording is built but dormant: it is disabled platform-wide today. If and when it is enabled, recording will remain strictly consent-based — it requires the current recording consent of both participants, is visibly indicated, and recordings are stored securely with access limited to the participants. Group session recordings follow the same consent-first pattern.

6. Acceptable use

Be the person this community deserves. You agree not to: misrepresent your identity, credentials, or licensure; upload content you have no right to share; harvest data or probe the platform's security; harass, exploit, or endanger other members; use the platform to provide care outside the scope or jurisdiction of your licence; or post another person's health information without their authority. We may suspend accounts that put Warriors at risk, and verification decisions, moderation decisions, and security-relevant actions are audit-logged.

7. Liability

Clinical judgment in a visit belongs to the treating clinician, who is independently responsible for the care they deliver. To the maximum extent permitted by law, IASA provides the platform "as is" and disclaims liability for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

8. Changes, termination, governing law

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on the platform and the "last updated" date revised. You may close your account at any time; consent and audit records are retained as described in the Privacy Policy. These terms are governed by the laws of [Jurisdiction — legal review pending].
